A celebration of the 2nd annual UN International Day of Hope.

With a lively ambiance of music, refreshments and books, The UNSRC Society of Writers and The Panorama of My-Silence-Heart Cafe hosted their 2nd collaboration for this UN day to be held annually on 12 July.

President Bhikshuni Weisbrot welcomed a talented roster of performers, followed by the Open Mic, led by Secretary Victoria Aguila.

Our program featured: 

Kusumita Pedersen, Professor Emerita of Religious Studies at St. Francis College reading poems of hope by Sri Chinmoy;  multi-media artist Rona Sarita Ramjas reading from her literary publication of remembrance, "The Late Edition"; poems by Saudamini Siegrist, Pushcart nominated poet and playwright; Tracy Gambles, multi-cultural children's bookseller with selected children's stories and musician Sadhak Hearst and his arrangement of "Do not go gentle into that good night" by Dylan Thomas.
