Previous Programmes

Previous Programmes have included informal readings at the United Nations Correspondent's Association, most recently Noam Chomsky; a poetry reading programme in honor of the United Nations Year of Dialogue Among Civilizations; a poetry event entitled: "A World of Poetry" with Stanley Kunitz in honour of National Poetry Month; and a production of the Japanese play "Winds of God". Other ongoing activities include radio and public poetry readings by members (including presentations at the Mid-Manhattan Library and Bowery Poetry Club). Members meet regularly to exchange ideas and share work. Although not a pre-requisite for membership, many of the members have published their work. Anyone who truly loves the written word and meets the membership criteria is welcome.
